THE RIVER (short film)

current status: raising budget. shooting in Fall 2025

notes: I read Jeff Fearnside’s collection A Husband and Wife are One Satan and was instantly struck by the story The River. (note: not to be confused with Jeff’s other book Ships in the Desert which just won the highly prestigious Eric Hoffer Award.) The River is inherently cinematic and very much about the vortex between fiction and personal narrative and also involves death. Right in my wheelhouse as they say. It is a highly-compelling story and the film will be also. Script is written, next we will secure production budget, start casting, begin pre-production. More to come, watch this space.
